Saint-Vincent Tournante MARANGES
24 & 25 January 2026
What is the Saint-Vincent Tournante ?
If there's one traditional wine festival that can't be missed in Burgundy it's the Saint-Vincent Tournante!
Every year at the end of January we celebrate Saint Vincent, the patron saint of winegrowers and protector of vineyard workers. Saint Vincent has been celebrated since 1938. The first Saint-Vincent Tournante celebration took place on the 22nd of January 1938, created on the initiative of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin. Originally a religious event, Saint-Vincent Tournante is a celebration of the mutual aid and solidarity of winegrowers organised within the Mutuel Aid Societies of all the villages.
Every year at the end of January a Saint-Vincent Society welcomes all the other societies in Burgundy to its territory. During the weekend the host village or villages are decorated for this festive event. Winegrowers, locals and volunteers pool their skills and give their time to organise two days of festivities in their villages and welcome up to 60,000 visitors, wine lovers and connoisseurs… A unifying, convivial moment to share!
A programme of commemorations and tributes is strictly defined with the support of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin:
- a parade of all Mutual Aid Societies from all over Burgundy with their statue of Saint-Vincent and their banner,
- tributes to the deceased from the communities,
- and the induction of ‘old’ winegrowers into the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin.
These are just some of the highlights to delight the many visitors, not forgetting the opening of the the tasting cellars to give visitors a chance to appreciate the typical characteristics of the wines of the appellation that are honoured on its terroir.

Discovering the Maranges
Grands Vins de Bourgogne
Between rivers, valleys, and hills, from the confluence of the Cozanne to the mountain of the Trois Croix, lie the three villages of the Maranges: Cheilly-lès-Maranges, Dezize-lès-Maranges, and Sampigny-lès-Maranges.
Each of these three villages has held the Maranges appellation since 1989 and has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage since 2015. It is the southernmost appellation of the Côte de Beaune.
Maranges village: approximately 115 hectares. Maranges 1er cru: approximately 85 hectares. Les Clos des Rois, Les Clos Roussots, La Fussière, Le Clos de la Boutière, Le Croix Moines, Le Clos des Loyères, Le Clos de la Fussière.
The Maranges rouges, made from Pinot Noir, produce powerful and colorful wines. They express aromas of small red or black fruits and spicy pepper notes.
The Maranges blancs, made from Chardonnay, are rich and aromatic. They represent just under 10% of the production of Maranges wines.
